Stern's Infinity Affiliate Breakdown

According to Infinity Broadcasting, this is how things will break down with Howard Stern's soon-to-be former Infinity-owned affiliates:

David Lee Roth (7)

New York, NY "92.3 K-Rock" (WXRK)
-The station will change to FM Talk as 92.3 Free FM when Roth debuts on Jan. 3, 2006 and will serve as Roth's flagship station.
Philadelphia, PA "94 WYSP" - Active Rock
-The station has flipped to Hot Talk as 94.1 Free FM.
Boston, MA "104.1 WBCN" - Modern Rock
-No station change is planned.
Dallas, TX "Live 105.3" (KLLI) - Hot Talk
-The station has already rebranded as 105.3 Free FM, though it was already Hot Talk prior to the change.
Cleveland, TX "98.5 WNCX" - Classic Rock
-This will put Roth head-to-head with Rover in Cleveland (Rover airs on WXTM in Cleveland.)
Pittsburgh, PA "93.7 K-Rock" (WRKZ) - Active Rock
-No station change is planne.d
West Palm Beach, FL "Buzz 103.1" (WPBZ) - Modern Rock
-No station change is planned.


Adam Carolla (5)

Los Angeles, CA "97.1 KLSX" - Hot Talk
-The station has already rebranded as 97.1 Free FM and will be Carolla's flagship station.
San Diego, CA "103.7 The Planet" (KPLN) - Classic Hits
-The station has already flipped formats to Hot Talk and rebranded as 103.7 Free FM; it is reportedly going to change call letters to KSCF soon.
Phoenix, AZ "The Zone 101.5" (KZON) - Modern Rock
-No station change is planned.
Portland, OR "101 KUFO" - Active Rock
-No station change is planned.
Las Vegas, NV "X107.5 Xtreme Rock Radio" (KXTE) - Active Rock
-No station change is planned. Stern's contract with KXTE expires on November 7; a music-intensive morning show is anticipated until Carolla debuts during the interim period between November 8, 2005 and January 3, 2006.


Rover (5)

Chicago, IL "105.9 WCKG" - Hot Talk
-The station has already rebranded as 105.9 Free FM and will be Rover's new flagship station (moving from WXTM/Cleveland.)
Detroit, MI "Live 97.1" (WKRK-FM) - Hot Talk
-The station has already rebranded as 97.1 Free FM; rumor has it that the decision to give Detroit to Rover over Roth was a last-minute decision.
Cincinnati, OH "New Rock 97.3" (WAQZ) - Modern Rock
-No station change is planned.
Memphis, TN "93X" (WMFS) - Modern Rock
-No station change is planned.
Rochester, NY "94.1 The Zone" (WZNE) - Modern Rock
-No station change is planned.


The Junkies (2)

Washington, DC "106.7 WJFK" (WJFK-FM) - Hot Talk
-The station has already rebranded as 106.7 Free FM; the Junkies will move from middays to morning drive, and this will be their flagship station.
Baltimore, MD "Live 105.7" (WHFS) - Hot Talk
-The station has already rebranded as 105.7 Free FM.


Star & Buc Wild (1)

Austin, TX "104.3 The Beat" (KXBT) - Urban
-This marks Star & Buc Wild's first Infinity-owned affiliate; their New York City-based show will air on a one-hour tape delay.


JACK-FM (3)

Sacramento, CA "93.7 Jack FM" (KQJK) - Variety Hits
-It will be all music in morning drive once Stern moves to Sirius.
Buffalo, NY "92.9 Jack FM" (WBUF) - Variety Hits
-It will be all music in morning drive once Stern moves to Sirius.
Fresno, CA "105.9 Jack FM" (KFJK) - Variety Hits
-It will be all music in morning drive once Stern moves to Sirius.


Others (4)

San Francisco, CA "Live 105" (105.3 KITS) - Modern Rock
-The station will debut a "Morning music co-op" morning show, the exact content of which is unknown as of now.
Houston, TX "CNN 650" (KIKK) - Business News
-The station will bring back the CNN Business News that it had before its short-lived move to Hot Talk in the summer of 2004.
Tampa, FL "1010 The Buzz" (WBZZ) - Hot Talk
-This one is a wild card. Infinity lists it as "Talk" with an asterisk denoting a format change, but details have not been forthcoming as to what the new format will be (or if it will simply be a local based talk morning show.) There is a great deal of speculation as to what might happen here.
Orlando, FL "O-Rock 105.9" (WOCL) - Modern Rock
-Drew and Mel will be doing a local morning show there. The Drew is Drew Garabo, formerly of cross-town WTKS-FM. I'm thrilled for him, and I'm glad that he landed the gig. Congrats, Drew.
