The Washington Times reports that Opie & Anthony are returning to WJFK-FM in Washington, DC... via tape delay in middays. DCRTV.com confirms that, and reports that O&A will run from 10 AM-1 PM, beginning Monday, June 26. 1-3 PM will feature Bill O'Reilly on tape delay. I suppose that "fixing middays" means splitting the O'Reilly show over two dayparts (middays and afternoons); CBS Radio screws over Don & Mike again. O&A should help those midday ratings, though. Penn Jillette moves via tape delay to 7-8 PM on the station.

CBS Radio has announced more affiliates for Opie & Anthony. Starting Monday, they debut live in Detroit on AM sports talker 1270 XYT (WXYT), on tape delay in Rochester from 2-5 PM on The Zone at 94.1 (WZNE), and in a situation similar to Cleveland, on tape delay from 3-6 PM on Columbus, OH rimshot The Big Wazoo 107.1 (WAZU.)
In Detroit, O&A will face off with Rover head-to-head for the first time, albeit from the confines of an AM station. WXYT didn't eliminate any of its programming, but it abbreviated the length of three shows to make room for O&A.
I've updated the Bob & Tom affiliate list. At this point, they're at 143 by my count. Considering that I've neglected the page for awhile now, they've remained remarkably steady. The biggest market addition for them was the addition of the new affiliate in Kansas City. Large cities have not worked well for the show, but mid-majors and below (outside the northeast) have worked out just fine for the Indianapolis-based duo.

Bob & Tom are going on the air in Cleveland beginning Monday, June 26. WMMS, a station that has burned through several morning shows in the past few years, is bringing in the syndicated team beginning 6/26. Cleveland, incidentally, is where Tom Griswold of the show was born. Several years ago, the program went on the air on WONE-FM in Akron, which provided a rimshot signal into the Cleveland area, but the show's tenure on WONE-FM was short-lived. This is the second head-to-head matchup for Bob & Tom with Rover; the shows are stable-mates for Emmis in St. Louis.

Phil Hendrie did his final live show on Friday, June 23 from KLAC/Los Angeles. His program will run in repeats through the end of September; at this point it's unclear what affiliates will continue to air his show, and for how long, but I'll leave up the affiliate list at least for now for reference purposes.
As previously announced, Opie & Anthony debuted in Washington, DC on Monday on tape delay from 10 AM-1 PM Eastern.
